As I was saying in my last article Internet 101: A Primer for the Truly Clueless the internet has become a vital part of this world. There are many positive ways to use this tool to help you to grow your business, but first you must choose what your business will be. So the purpose of this article is to share a few different programs that are available.
Cash Gifting:
The principle of “Gifting” has been proven as an effective model for creating prosperity very quickly for many people who practice it. Although the concept of “Gifting“ has helped thousands of people prosper around the world, it has also been blemished over the years through various “Scams” & “Get Rich Quick” pyramid schemes. “Gifting” as a concept for building wealth and prosperity became popular in the early 1970’s with a single elderly woman.
After hearing about a family at her church (that was about to lose their home because of major financial problems) decided to do something about it. Coming from the bible belt and being part of some traditional “Barn Raisings” (where an entire town would come together and help a family in need by donating their resources) she decided to urge members of her church to give “Cash Gifts” to help out the desperate family.
Within 24 hours the family emergency was over and they had enough money to save their home (as well as received several job offers from other church members) all because of the group dynamic of “selfless giving” without any expectation of return.The concept worked so well that even the “Scam Artists” of the 1970’s pyramid schemes took advantage of this prosperity building principle.
These “Scam Artists” gave the FTC good reason to warn people away from the “Pyramid Schemes” that had became very popular in the past.In the late 1990’s “Cash Gifting” again became a popular concept embraced by more church and private groups than ever before. And with the advent of the Internet and the popularity of working from home, a global “Cash Gifting” phenomena had begun. MLM:
Now this is a program where you have a product to sell or use yourself.
Many great companies are out there and I have tried some of these myself, but never achieved the results that I was looking for. Some people have achieved great riches but most them were at the founding of the company. The basic principle of an MLM is that you buy or sell products yourself and you earn commission from those sales and your upline earns money from your sales too.
When your business begins to grow and you sponsor new people this is known as your downline, then you start to earn commission from those that you sponsor and that your downline sponsors. This can be a great opportunity for you if you love sales, countless meetings and cold calls, but as for me I had to opt out.
Affiliate Marketing:
This is the cream of the crop if you ask me. The way this program works is a person or a company lets you do the advertising for them to sell their products. As you sell their product you receive a generous commission usually 60 70 . Now, if you have any knowledge at all in sales you understand the magnitude of 70 commission….that’s unheard of. There are many ways to get involved in affiliate marketing but if you are like me you may want to join in a organization that takes all the guess work out of what works and what doesn’t. As you may or may not know there are many, many ways to advertise on the internet and they all cost a lot of money. So if you are not careful you can spend a lot more than you make.
So be very careful when you decide to jump in head first, the web can be a big pool you can drown very fast. So when I jumped into this program I chose to place myself under a mentor. There are many out there that have made all the mistakes and found out what works.
