Getting acquainted with what Chicago is all about is important if you have been planning to spend a vacation there. An average of 1.5 million visitors yearly come to Chicago and it has been considered to be one of the most visited place in the entire US. When it comes to preparing for your trip, this number should tell you to make early reservations, from your airline tickets to hotel bookings. Just like any other place, early bookings are advantageous especially if you want to stay near the downtown area. Booking ahead of time will give you a lot of choices including discounts and markdowns with the regular rates. This is also applicable with airlines.

Sports enthusiasts, specially baseball fans, can stand in awe in the middle of the Wrigley Field which also happens to be one of the most famous tourist spots not just in Chicago but also in the entire US and even the world. Today, its original scoreboard and clock as well as its beautiful green outfield ivy from 1913 are still intact for all tourists to view in in wonder. For seven years since 1920, it was called Cubs park and later renamed by gum giant maker William Wrigley. From 1921 to 1970, the Chicago bears also played in this ballpark which was give the nickname, friendly confines, by former Cub Ernie Banks.

If you really want to enjoy your Chicago trip, planning and time management is the key. Next summer, which is one of the best time of the year, probably would be a great time for you to spend your vacation in the Windy City.
